  • Our thematic approach to origination and portfolio construction is an integral part of our business model. We back businesses that benefit from structural trends which can support long-term sustainable growth.   You can read more our strategy and portfolio in our 2025 Annual report, available via the link in the comments.

  • This week, 8 colleagues volunteered for a lunch service at The Passage, one of 3i’s charity partners which works to prevent homelessness. The team helped prep vegetables, jerk chicken, rice, and fruit salad, and serve meals for more than 100 of the Passage’s clients. It was a great experience to be able to help and see firsthand the great work the Passage does. A big thank you to the Passage for hosting us!

  • We recently brought sustainability leaders together from across our private equity and infrastructure portfolios for our Sustainability Forum 2025 in Paris. The event brought together 46 participants from 22 companies to share ideas, build connections and take part in sessions on nature, health and safety, delivering effectively as a sustainability leader and setting science-based targets, as well as a fun boat trip on the Seine. In the video below, we recap the event. Thank you to all the attendees and presenters for contributing to such an inspiring few days!

  • This week 18 of our London-based staff volunteered at a secondary school in east London, through one of our charity partners Place2Be. Over 2 days, our colleagues cleaned and painted a garden shed, removed lots of bags of weeds, freed up fences and prepared the ground for new planters to be installed, which the team then built. The team also cut down two small trees, removed weeds and cleaned the patio tiles in an inner courtyard, and tidied up and reorganised the school’s very full Duke of Edinburgh storage space. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped out - you did a fabulous job and the school was extremely grateful for your hard work!

  • This week, 8 of our colleagues spent the afternoon digging, planting and watering at one of our charity partners The Passage.   The King’s Scholars’ Passage Community Garden is a joint, voluntary initiative between local Victoria residents and The Passage.   It creates an inviting space in a neighbourhood which has historically suffered from anti-social behaviour and neglect, whilst providing an inclusive activity for residents of Passage accommodation projects.   Gardening has proven particularly beneficial for Passage clients, with several individuals connecting more with their Key Worker as a result of consistent, meaningful, green activity.   Everyone had a fun time and there was lots of good teamwork on display!
