The summer is flying by, with our interns already near the end of their placements. We caught up with Ayomide Olabode, Freya Salt Smith, Jesse Harry-Brown, Annabelle Akanni, William White and Joshua Clarke about each of their experiences – from where they currently are in their professional paths, to how they got their roles at AGR (shout-out to 10,000 Black Interns and Visionpath!) and what they've learned along the way. This year's cohort has been a brilliant, engaged and thoughtful group, and we're already looking forward to seeing what they get up to next 💫 Tune in to hear their insights!

We chatted with some of our summer interns about what they've learned so far, and where they see themselves in the next five years. They're keen to pass on those insights to other young people interested in exploring careers in insurance. See what they shared about their time at AGR below 👇 "I’ve been able to gain such an in-depth insight into the world of wholesale insurance broking. Circulating between different teams within Professional & Financial Risks has opened my eyes to the variety and breadth that the London Market can offer. I’ve loved the environment at AGR, as everyone I've met has been so lovely and welcoming. In the next five years, I see myself working towards earning my Certificate in Insurance." – Madeleine Ruoss "I came to London eager to experience the unique risks this market has to offer, and my time with the AGR Marine team has surpassed all expectations. It’s been gratifying to work alongside such knowledgeable professionals and gain exposure to complex, specialised risks. Over the past six weeks, I’ve seen first-hand what sets the London Market apart – its history, its pace and its people. This experience has strengthened my technical understanding of insurance and has shown me what it means to be a genuine, effective broker.” – Evan Fueyo "Being at AGR has been incredible. I've loved working in such a positive, collaborative environment, and have enjoyed observing how relationships are formed and fostered in the insurance industry. I've also learnt the importance of communication and networking. Having gained basic industry knowledge and skills from this placement, I hope to secure a role in the insurance industry once I've graduated from university." – Isabella Burn "It’s been fast-paced and collaborative, and I’ve had great exposure to the North American flood market. I've really enjoyed meeting new people and shadowing senior brokers to see how they foster strong, long-term relationships with underwriters. I'm not entirely sure where I'll be in the next five years, but I recognise the value of staying open-minded and taking every opportunity that comes my way to learn, grow and build my skills!" – Robbie Cox Stay tuned for more key takeaways from our 2025 cohort 💡

We’re proud to offer ICE, Inigo’s recently launched Excess Bond DIC/DIL policy. Designed to sit in excess of the traditional bond policies, it provides top-up cover for the standard crime clauses while dropping down to cover social engineering and digital assets from the primary. To learn more about what this means for Amwins Global Risks clients, check out the document below or reach out to Dominic Calcott, Connor Rudd Dip CII, Charlie Carter or George Biles directly.

Well done to our 2025 Insight Week attendees! It was great to have everyone join us and to hear so that many of you are interested in exploring careers in insurance. Our L&D team put in a lot of effort to make the week so successful, and it truly paid off 🚀 Thank you, Alison Francis and Bethany H. for all your hard work.

Our Professional & Financial Risks team recently launched a new Side A Directors & Officers product that's exclusive to AGR. We’re confident this is one of the best Side A D&O products in the market! What makes it so great? 🤝 Coverage is broad with few conditions, caveats or ‘examples’ that could be construed as narrowing the coverage. 🔎The form is in plain English style and a single document, not in effectively two parts, so it’s easier for clients to follow. Check out the two-pager below or reach out to Jaime Hutton-Southgate directly to learn more.

This week, we're hosting 36 students – joining us via UK Day One, London Insurance Life and The 10,000 Interns Foundation – for our biggest ever #InsightWeek 🤩 From checking out the incredible view at Horizon 22 and familiarising themselves with 22 Bishopsgate, to getting to know the Amwins Global Risks story and playing the Chartered Insurance Institute's Discover Risk game, they've had a busy first day! Thank you to our AGR colleagues for taking time to share your experiences in the London Market and answer some great questions. Stay tuned to see what else the students get up to this week.
