Global Collaboration in Sustainable Steel – CARES China Stakeholder Day 2025 On 17 April, CARES hosted its China Stakeholder Day at the Crowne Plaza Shanghai, co-organised with MySteel and MC-CCPIT, and supported by CISA. The day featured an opening address by CARES COO Ayhan Tugrul, who outlined the organisation’s strategic direction and international focus. Delegates heard expert insights from CISA, CCSTC, MySteel and MC-CCPIT on China’s evolving construction steel landscape, followed by regional updates from East Asia and the Middle East delivered by CARES Regional Operations Manager, East Asia, Chin Seng Yap. The afternoon sessions explored CARES’ Sustainability Scheme, EPD reporting for green building standards, and our commitment to digital transformation within the sector. The event concluded with a Thank You Dinner, featuring partner speeches, sponsor presentations, and a lucky draw — a fitting end to a day of collaboration, innovation, and global alignment.
