Recently, students at The Cambian Group Wing College, part of the CareTech family, set out on their very first step of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award journey – the Bronze expedition. From tackling unexpected twists on their route to learning new navigation skills in the New Forest, the students showed resilience, teamwork, and determination. It's A Level results day and we're celebrating the determination, resilience and achievements of the incredible young people across the CareTech family, especially those supported through our The Cambian Group schools. Whether you received the grades you hoped for or simply gave it your all — we are so proud of everything you’ve accomplished. For some, like the former student of Cambian Grateley House School shared by David Tait in the video shared here, A Levels have been a springboard to amazing things — including a place at Oxford University. But success isn’t one-size-fits-all. Alongside academic results, we honour every step forward — growing in confidence, gaining independence, overcoming personal challenges and discovering what’s possible. Every story is different — and every achievement matters. We're shining a light on one of our new supported living services located at Englefield Green in Runnymede, Surrey. Runnymede specialises in supporting young adults with learning disabilities as they transition into adult services, and is located in a quiet residential area with easy access to local shops and transport links. The service has gone through extensive works and consists of six en-suite bedrooms as well as communal areas with a garden to the rear. Runnymede also benefits from having dedicated 24 hour staff support with waking nights.
