🔋 We are expanding our footprint in Romania – with storage at the core We’re proud to share that our 87 MW #Oradea solar PV project has officially been connected to the Romanian grid, Econergy’s fourth operational solar project in the country. ⚡ But this is only part of the story. 🧵 As part of our long-term strategy, every PV project in Romania will be enhanced with co-located battery energy storage (#BESS). At Oradea, we will add a 68MW storage system, unlocking new revenue streams, supporting grid-balancing services, and optimising electricity sales. On top of this, work has already begun on the hybridisation of our Parau 1 92MW solar PV project. We recently closed a 70MW/140MW battery supply agreement for this project, and construction is due to begin this quarter! It marks a key milestone in transforming our Romanian portfolio into co-location assets. Yesterday, we had the privilege of participating in a moving and meaningful event organised by The friends of Kaplan Medical Center.
