River of Light returns this autumn with a brand-new theme: The Science of Light 🤩✨ From Friday 24 October - Sunday 2 November, Liverpool’s much-loved free light festival will once again transform the waterfront into a spectacular outdoor gallery for all to enjoy The 8th edition of the trail will feature 10 large-scale illuminated artworks across a 3km route - stretching from the Royal Albert Dock Liverpool and Pier Head, to Exchange Flags and right here at Liverpool ONE! At Liverpool ONE, guests can experience OPTIK, a striking installation of giant illuminated rings that come to life through play and interaction. As the rings are spun and set in motion, waves of light and sound ripple across the structure, inviting people of all ages to discover the science and magic of light in a whole new way. This week we were honoured to welcome cadets from the Peruvian Navy to Liverpool ONE, who paid a visit to our very special visitor, Paddington Bear, outside Waterstones 🐻 The cadets are in the city as part of the arrival of one of the world’s finest tall ships from Peru, a visit that strengthens historic ties between Liverpool and Peru 🇬🇧 🇵🇪 A special thank you to the Embassy of Peru in the United Kingdom for visiting us! ❤
