Entertaining the world's nostrils with a dose of Britishness since 1870.

About us

Penhaligon's has a rich and illustrious history. Founded in 1870 by William Penhaligon, it is one of the most prestigious British fragrance houses. The brand has a deep heritage and holds a Royal Warrant, a symbol of excellence and quality. Our passion is to carry on William's incredible legacy of creative and innovative perfumery, challenging the traditions of the art and seeking new ways to interpret elegance. We continue to work with master perfumers who can interpret our distinctive ideas; conjuring up new perfume sensations that flow against the tide. Our signature Penhaligon's bottle is to William's original design: clear glass with a distinctive ribbon-wrapped stopper. Penhaligon's is part of Puig, a home of Love Brands within a family company that furthers wellness, confidence and self-expression while leaving a better world. In 2023 Puig recorded net revenues of €4,304 million. Puig sells its products in more than 150 countries and has offices in 32 of them.

  • Penhaligon’s is proud to present Daphne Bouquet, a limited-edition eau de parfum inspired by the woodland florals of Highgrove Gardens, the private residences of His Majesty King Charles III. The fragrance, a vibrant floral with notes of blackcurrant leaf, daphne flower accord and moss accord, is a tribute to the daphne flower that blossoms in The Stumpery, a tranquil and atmospheric part of Highgrove.  Created in support of The King's Foundation, His Majesty's 10% of proceeds shall be donated to the Foundation to help fund the charity’s exciting training and educational programs. • In May 2025, Penhaligon’s unveiled Eau So British, its first-ever exhibition in London, celebrating 155 years of scent, heritage and craftsmanship. Held over two days, 17th and 18th May, the exhibition offered visitors an intimate journey through the brand's storied archive to tell a story of scent, heritage and craftsmanship. Needless to say, it was a landmark moment for Penhaligon’s and a fitting tribute to 155 years of fine fragrances. #Penhaligons #155Anniversary #EauSoBritish #BritishHeritage

  • Penhaligon’s is immensely proud to have debuted its first-ever global exhibition, Eau So British, in Shanghai last month. Set within the historic He Dong Mansion, Eau So British showcased the fascinating 155-year history of the fragrance house, displaying 30 rare items from Penhaligon's archives. The exhibition also featured a striking cross-cultural collaboration with Chinese shadow play artist, He Xian. His installation, The Birth of a British Legend, reinterprets Penhaligon’s first fragrance, Hammam Bouquet, through light, silhouette, and storytelling. A celebration of tradition, creativity and cultural exchange — this is Penhaligon’s like never before. #Penhaligons #EauSoBritish #ShanghaiExhibition #LuxuryFragrance #BritishHeritage #HammamBouquet

  • Penhaligon's proudly presents the latest addition to the Portraits Collection, Fortuitous Finley. The new fragrance in fine form. The new eau de parfum is an addictive blend of salted pistachio and violet on a base of leather, creating a sensual amber gourmand unisex fragrance. True to Penhaligon's signature storytelling, plenty of scandal arrives at the Portraits Mansion along with Fortuitous Finley. His alluring aroma captivates The Revenge of Lady Blanche, and together they lose themselves in the labyrinth of love. Such a shame, then, that her husband The Tragedy of Lord George can overhear... • Celebrating 155 Years of Penhaligon's   For over a century and a half, Penhaligon’s has embodied the essence of British wit, luxury, and craftsmanship. When William Penhaligon opened his first store on Jermyn Street in 1870, little did he know his fragrances would still be scenting the streets of London and beyond. 155 years later, the fragrance house is staying true to their founder's pioneering spirit with the creation of trailblazing scents.   With its original bottle design, still presented with a ribbon and a round stopper, Penhaligon's has become synonymous with sophistication, earning four Royal Warrants from generations of the British monarchy along the way.   Penhaligon’s redefines the art of fragrance through scents that tell stories, crafting fragrances inspired by the past for rebels of the future.
