  • Following the success of last year’s Chess Competition, a new global challenge has taken QRT by storm…the Rubik’s Cube Competition. Over 260 colleagues signed up for cubing lessons, and it’s been especially rewarding to see so many first-time solvers crack the cube for the very first time. After weeks of mastering algorithms and honing their cube-twisting skills, competitors are now battling it out across the globe in local office tournaments — from London to Mumbai, Shanghai to Sydney. The competition is fierce, and we can't wait to see who qualifies for the grand final in London this September. Let the cubing continue — and stay tuned for highlights from the final showdown!

  • After hosting the Olympics in 2024, France was once again in the global spotlight — this time for the International Physics Olympiad (#IPhO)! Nearly 90 countries came together in Paris for this prestigious competition for young physics talents under 20. After two intense five-hour exams (one experimental, one theoretical) and under the patronage of six French Nobel laureates, QRT had the honour of awarding the Prize for the Best Absolute Score to a brilliant young mind from Korea! 👏 Congratulations to all the participants for your curiosity, determination and camaraderie. We believe in the international language of science that brings us all together. A big thank you to the organising teams Société Française de Physique, École Polytechnique, CentraleSupélec for delivering an inspiring event at the intersection of fundamental science, cross-cultural exchange, and knowledge-sharing with the next generation.

  • We’ve just wrapped up another induction week in Hong Kong, welcoming our latest cohort of interns and new joiners - from junior talent to experienced professionals - arriving from Dubai, Mumbai, Shanghai, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The week mixed deep-dive lectures on advanced mathematical topics with hands-on sessions to put theoretical concepts into practice. We also made time to connect and collaborate beyond the classroom, from a Lego teambuilding session to a closing party with a spectacular view over the Peak. A warm welcome to everyone who joined us — we're excited to see what you’ll build next!

  • We’re always ready to connect with young minds and support STEM education!   Recently we welcomed students aged 16–18 to our London office for a Tech Insight Day, run in partnership with our charity partners, SEO London and Zero Gravity. They met professionals working in tech and took part in a speed networking session designed to highlight the wide range of career paths within our industry.   Our support continues this summer with various maths camps that encourage young girls and boys to explore careers in science. Kudos to QRT volunteers and to our partners including King's College London Mathematics School, Fondation CentraleSupélec, and ENS Paris-Saclay for their energy and inspiring summer programmes.

  • We recently came together across our 12 global offices for our half-year townhall — streamed live and hosted from our Paris office. It was a great opportunity to share updates, reflect, and celebrate the momentum we've built so far, thanks to the dedication of our teams and the continued support of our investor community.

  • It’s been a busy month at QRT, with our teams on the ground at some of the industry’s leading tech conferences — including PyCon US & Italy, PyData London, and KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Asia. These events have been fantastic opportunities to connect with the global tech community, explore the latest trends and help shape what's next ✨. Thank you to everyone who took part — and to those who stopped by to meet us, solve our puzzles, and take on our cube challenges.

  • The Raspberry Pi Coolest Projects 2025 online judging session is officially over — and what a ride it’s been. Thank you to our 80 QRT judges who took part across all our offices — from Sydney to Shanghai, Mumbai, and Paris — for watching, reviewing, and scoring some truly inspiring (and occasionally delightfully bizarre!) projects from young tech enthusiasts around the world. This marks our fourth year supporting the Raspberry Pi Foundation and its Coolest Projects Showcase competition — an initiative that encourages young people to explore tech in a fun, creative and accessible way. Supporting such programmes is part of our broader philanthropic approach: to make technology and sciences more inclusive and approachable. And who knows — maybe one of these young creators is already building the next big tech breakthrough!

  • We are on the move! Welcoming an exciting new chapter at QRT as we celebrate the Mumbai team's move to their brand-new office - with more space, greenery and opportunities to connect with colleagues… and all this within a LEED-certified building! As QRT marks over seven years of operations in Mumbai, this new milestone symbolises the strides we've made in expanding our presence in India and in best-in-class buildings. Stay tuned… more office news coming soon.

  • We are now an official member of the Rust Foundation!   Our tech capabilities are at the heart of how QRT innovates and delivers value to investors. Rust has become an increasingly important part of our engineering stack. By supporting the Rust Foundation, we’re investing in the long-term security, sustainability and efficiency of the language, as well as its community.   This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to the open-source community and complements our existing support for other key initiatives, including the Python Software Foundation or NumFOCUS.

  • This year, we launched the "QRT Academy: Trading & Risk Management programme", part of our wider learning initiative that supports internal development and partners with universities to open up the world of quant. Working with the University of Oxford Mathematical Institute’s Invariants and Cambridge University Algorithmic Trading Society, and in collaboration with London Stock Exchange (LSEG), the programme equipped students with the principles of quantitative trading and gave them hands-on experience building strategies and managing simulated portfolios. To wrap up the year, the top performers joined us in London for the first ever "QRT Uncovered: Behind the Quant", a day of conversations, strategy showcases, and a closer look at life at QRT. Congratulations to everyone who took part!
