The regulatory landscape across EMEA is rapidly evolving, reshaping how industrial, consumer and commodities organisations access capital, navigate subsidies and build leadership teams. Stuart MacSween's latest article explores how legislation like the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation, InvestEU and the UK’s Great British Energy initiative are redefining talent requirements - especially for leaders skilled in ESG, cross-border complexity and public funding navigation. In manufacturing, the loss of tribal knowledge is often underestimated until it becomes a barrier to recovery or growth. When experienced shop floor employees retire or leave, they often take critical operational knowledge with them - knowledge that isn’t written down or captured in systems. In this article, Tim Thompson-Essex explores how companies can mitigate that risk through practical succession planning, structured knowledge transfer and a clear understanding of where gaps will emerge. I'm reflecting on an overdue but hugely worthwhile trip to Singapore a couple of weeks ago, where I connected with clients across all three of our practices. It never fails to amaze me what a cultural melting pot Singapore is - truly a global hub that continues to set the standard. From the seamless experience of international travel and the cleanliness of the city, to its ease of doing business and connectivity, it’s a shining example of what’s possible when a nation prioritises innovation and openness. Singapore remains the world’s leading centre for food innovation, home to the highest concentration of innovation centres in the industry. While it faces increasing competition from the Middle East (particularly the UAE), which is working hard to attract global firms - Singapore is rising to the challenge. It’s actively positioning itself as both a gateway to Asia and a long-term partner for business growth. The markets across Asia have undoubtedly faced headwinds. Whilst geopolitical tensions and regional economic slowdowns have left their mark, there are now clear green shoots of recovery. Encouragingly, our clients are feeling the same sense of optimism. Many are preparing for expansion, whether through new product lines or entering new geographies. Plenty to be excited about as we look ahead.

Tariffs aren’t just affecting profit margins - they’re altering how and where North American commodities firms hire. From agricultural rerouting to rare mineral sourcing, firms are facing new pressure to align talent strategy with supply chain complexity. In our latest article Tori Tootell explores what tariff means for HR leaders and executives, from evolving candidate pools to rethinking retention strategies in an increasingly global, yet protectionist, market. Executive hiring across EMEA’s industrial sector is undergoing a seismic shift. Once defined by stability, the rules are being rewritten. From unplanned C-suite transitions to a new emphasis on agility over tenure, industrial organisations are rethinking what leadership looks like. In this article Julia Murphy explores the rise of purpose-led career pivots, the flattening of leadership structures, regional differences in hiring demands and why boards are now asking, “Who can do this next?” instead of “Who’s done this before?” Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/edthp-Cd
