Full Stack Java Developer – Front Office Credit Technology | Global Hedge Fund

A leading hedge fund is looking for a talented Full Stack Java Developer to join its Credit Technology team in London. Sitting directly alongside the trading desk, this role offers the chance to build systems that directly impact investment decisions, risk management, and execution strategies.
As part of a lean and highly collaborative team, you’ll be developing full stack solutions that span trade lifecycle tools, pricing platforms, data pipelines, and analytics dashboards. You’ll partner closely with traders, quants, and technologists across the firm, and work in an environment where engineers have full ownership and direct business influence.
Your Impact:
- Build and enhance systems that support credit trading and investment analysis
- Develop scalable backend services and intuitive front-end interfaces for real-time decision-making
- Work directly with stakeholders across trading, quant, and operations functions
- Integrate data from internal and external sources to support pricing, modelling, and reporting
- Contribute to the evolution of a modern, flexible technology platform in a fast-paced environment
Your Skillset:
- Strong professional proficiency (3+ years) in Java, with experience building robust server-side applications
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks – ideally React with TypeScript
- Comfortable working across the full technology stack: UI, middleware, APIs, and data layers
- Confident engaging with business users and gathering requirements in real time
- Exposure to tools like Kafka, Python, SQL, or container technologies is a plus
- Strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a Russell Group University (or equivalent)
