Marco Margaritoff

Trends Reporter

As a trends reporter at HuffPost, Marco Margaritoff covers politics and pop culture with a personal interest in both. Born and raised in Hamburg, Germany, he moved to the United States as a teenager. His Ecuadorian mother raised him in Spanish, while American movies, hip-hop and the internet taught him English. He holds bachelors degrees in English literature and Film from Pace University, and a Masters degree focused in Journalism from New York University. Marco lives in Brooklyn, loves to cook and spends most evenings watching trashy TV with his wife. He is currently working on a horror screenplay — and hopes to make a dent in that world, too. You can find his previous reporting work at Complex, where regularly chronicled pop culture news, as well as at VICE, where Marco probed the financial pitfalls plaguing his generation, and at The Drive, where he covered tech and the autonomous vehicle industry.
