Every system is a combination of small to big components. While building components, we should keep in mind the scenario for scalability. There is also one interested way to test if your system is secure enough. An innovative approach involves creating two teams within the company: Hackers and Defenders (or Observers). The Hackers' goal is to attempt to breach the system, while the Defenders or Observers monitor and analyze their activities. Organizing this as a competition adds intensity and engagement, encouraging active participation. This dual-team setup not only simulates real-world scenarios but also provides valuable insights into potential vulnerabilities. It also enhances the overall security posture by allowing proactive identification and mitigation of security risks.

An essential practice I’ve adopted is continuous testing and monitoring. In a financial application, integrating real-time monitoring tools helped us quickly identify and fix a critical performance issue before it affected end-users.
