"Clients are people too". Working on bigger budget projects offers all kinds of advantages. A higher profile, a more specialized crew, and longer timelines add up to a final product that might resonate with millions of people. But don't we always want to see our fingerprints visible on our handiwork? The reality is, fingerprint real estate is sorely limited. So when the client comes back with the eighth revision to that 57-frame close-up of a hand gently holding a precious object, what is there to do? Only this: Enjoy the process. Gently remind the people around you that increased time spent here means decreased time spent elsewhere. And as time becomes more precious, even clients will eventually pick their battles and move on.
