How do you assess the environmental impact of your construction drawings?

In my experience adopting a LEED program standard (Silver, Gold, Platinum) will provide a system to assess and quantify the project’s environmental impact and may also qualify the project for certain Tax credits.

The question is unclear. Are you talking about the construction drawings as plans, or are you talking about the design of the project which is represented on the construction drawings?

The first step in assessing the environmental impact of construction drawings is to identify potential negative effects on the environment. This involves examining the design for issues such as energy consumption, material waste, water usage, and potential disruption to natural habitats. From my perspectives, another way to assess the environmental impact of construction drawings is by conducting life cycle assessments (LCAs). LCAs analyze the environmental impacts associated with all stages of a product or project's life cycle, including raw material extraction, manufacturing, construction, use, and end-of-life disposal or recycling (by quantifying factors such as energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and resource depletion). This analysis provides valuable insights into the overall environmental footprint of a construction project and helps identify areas where can be made to minimize environmental harm, environmental footprint of the project, and helps identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
