I'm waiting for the day when everything is done by AI. So when the AI clients criticize the AI voice acting and the AI animation - it will lead to a very entertaining AI showdown. I can't wait. I'll just be standing in the soup line with my colleagues (who have actual talent) and we'll be jeering away at the AI bots fighting with each other. We'll be betting using bottle caps and bits of string, of course - because we won't have any actual money - Am Saltman and the Mollusc will have it all. Anyway, we'll make bets over who's AI is gonna win. I can picture it now - after the betting, one person with talent will use their bottle cap to scratch a cute picture in the dirt and actual humans will gather round to admire it. Blissful.

I appreciate feedback on voice acting on any projects and I take client satisfaction seriously. I am always looking for ways to improve and I value constructive criticism. If there are specific areas where work didn't meet expectations, I am open to hearing those thoughts and making necessary adjustments. I have always committed to making sure my work aligns with clients' visions.

Clearly explain why each choice was made. This is why you need a director who knows what she/he is doing, because choosing a voice is not a matter of perception or opinion; it is always due to a carefully planned piece of the story that the director wants to communicate through that character. If you have a director who does not know how to direct, they would not be able to explain the creative choices to the clients.

As a voice actor myself, not part of the team on the other side of the glass, I would always try to take criticism in a constructive light, but also I would listen to other voices too. Voice acting is about truth, and human ears are very sensitive to picking up truth in a voice. So if other people thought the VO was authentic and truthful, I would try to diplomatically talk with the clients. I would discuss what their vision was and what was dissatisfying and consider if recasting is an option. I would also loop the casting director into the discussion to weigh in on their choices.

    1) Obviously listen to the feedback. Ask the questions from the "Client" of performances that they have in their vision and possibly issues they don't agree with Glean from that and then ask some specific questions. 2) Run the performances past a few trusted colleagues or friends that you know have a finger on the pulse of performance and will give honest feedback. Possibly after hearing their thoughts share discreetly and in a positive way the feedback. 3) Figure it out with the acting talent assuming you've cast correctly. A good director can get an amazing performance out of an actor and likewise an actor has trained to become a new character and performance and just needs goalposts. Communication is key though.

If I were facing criticism about my crafts, masterpieces, or artwork, I would first accept the feedback with an open mind, recognizing that criticism can be an important tool for growth and improvement. This step of acknowledgment is essential as it helps me understand the client's perspective and pinpoint areas where my work can be enhanced. After carefully considering the critique, I would look for ways to add value and improve the work to meet or exceed expectations, while maintaining my unique artistic vision. Ultimately, I believe that constructive criticism helps me evolve and produce even better masterpieces "Art is not just a passion, but indeed a way of life." Voice is also an art ya know
