We were thrilled to celebrate our diversity last week during our Fifth Annual Cultural Festival organized by Breathe Equality - one of Ability Beyond’s dynamic employee resource groups. The festival was more than an event; it was a powerful moment to unite as a community, discover new stories, and celebrate the richness that comes from our differences. By building understanding and strengthening ally ship, we are creating a workplace where every staff member can proudly bring their authentic self to the table. From the bold flavors to the electrifying beats of Mount Vernon’s Ice Cold Experience Drumline, the day pulsed with energy and pride. Thank you to the more than 500 people who came out this past weekend to the 19th Annual Margarita 5K in Ridgefield - the only race where you get an ice-cold Margarita at the end! Two years ago, Zion was unemployed and had just spent two months unhoused with his mother. He hadn’t completed high school, didn’t have a bank account, and wasn’t enrolled in state benefits for people with disabilities.
