Paige Stanton Wilson, our Chief Development Officer, will be speaking at the Future Travel Experience Global conference in Long Beach on September 10th. Paige will bring the aircraft manufacturer’s perspective to a conversation about the trends and technologies shaping tomorrow’s passenger journeys—from connected aircraft to new security and screening innovations that will redefine the airport experience and help airlines and airports inform their strategies. At Acubed, we’re working on this by advancing Airbus’ aircraft-as-a-platform vision to make flights more connected and personalized for passengers, while creating new opportunities for airlines to strengthen customer loyalty and generate ancillary revenues. By capturing behavioral and situational data both in-flight and on the ground, these solutions enable personalized recommendations for passengers and data-driven insights for airlines to boost digital service usage and monetization. We look forward to Paige joining the conversation on how manufacturers, technologists, operators, and infrastructure providers can work together to ensure the future of travel is not just more seamless and enjoyable, but also safer and more efficient. The Federal Aviation Administration has released its long-anticipated Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for Part 108, which lays the foundation for safe, routine drone flights beyond the visual line of sight of a pilot or crew in the U.S. Acubed is proud to see our research, in collaboration with Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory and ASTM International, cited as part of the FAA’s rationale for the inclusion of strategic deconfliction functionality. This capability enables drones to share flight plans and avoid conflicts in complex airspace. Our simulations, conducted in our proprietary USim environment, show that strategic deconfliction reduced midair collisions by up to 99% in high-density, urban traffic scenarios. We are excited to see Acubed’s innovation reflected in this policy and look forward to supporting the continued advancement of safe flight! What a week at EAA AirVenture 2025! The Acubed team wrapped up an incredible time in Oshkosh, showcasing our King Air Flight Lab and connecting with the aviation community about the future of smart automation. Our custom-engineered flying laboratory—equipped with synchronized camera systems and modular sensor mounts that simulate A320 data collection—drew crowds throughout the week at the Airbus Pavilion. It was energizing to share how this platform is helping us develop certifiable automation systems for safer, smarter aviation. Some highlights from last week: ✈️Paul Smith, our Director of Flight Test and Operations, presented at the EAA Forum on how emerging technologies are flight-tested in real-world scenarios ✈️ Paul also joined Robin Hayes (Airbus), CEO of Airbus in North America, on a panel discussing career paths in aviation and the future of our industry ✈️The team participated in several media meetings and interviews highlighting our Wayfinder program's mission to pioneer Smart Automation ✈️ Countless conversations were had with attendees about our AI-powered capabilities, from computer vision-based landing systems to obstacle detection The King Air continues to collect high-fidelity flight data across nearly 200 U.S. airports, enabling us to rapidly scale innovations from our Silicon Valley testbed to commercial aircraft like the A320. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn about our work! The enthusiasm for aviation innovation was truly inspiring. Until next time, Oshkosh! 🛩️ #Oshkosh2025 #Osh2025 #SmartAutomation #AviationInnovation #FlightLab #Wayfinder #Airshow #ExpertimentalAircraft
