We're so honored to be leading all research operations for Champion Insights study beginning this Fall. You can read our full announcement here: https://lnkd.in/eYYcYvGG
Announcing Champion Insights: A new remote-participation study to understand why high-performing athletes and military service members face higher ALS rates. Answer ALS, ALS TDI, and Augie's Quest to Cure ALS have joined forces to launch Champion Insights. The study uses simple at home participation and a single blood draw, with data flowing into the Neuromine Data Portal to connect genetics, metabolism, movement, history, and outcomes. The goal of the openly shared data is to surface druggable targets and speed therapeutic discovery. New Orleans Saints great and ALS advocate Steve Gleason will be participant #1. Today, the Global Neurodegeneration Proteomics Consortium (GNPC) launched the world's largest harmonized proteomics dataset, a monumental achievement we at ALS TDI are proud to be a part of. This momentous effort, a collaboration of 100+ researchers from 23 global members, reveals what 250 million proteins are telling us about diseases like ALS, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and FTD. Learn more and explore the data today: https://lnkd.in/dR4pzjuU
GNPC Dataset: Live this July The wait is almost over. In a few weeks, the Global Neurodegeneration Proteomics Consortium (GNPC) will release its Harmonized Dataset (V1) to the global research community. What’s in the dataset? · 20+ international cohorts · Proteomic data across 4 indications (Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), Parkinson’s Disease (PD), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD)) plus healthy aging controls · >40 phenotypic indicators including demographics, cognitive scores, and disease-specific genotypes This dataset represents the world’s largest proteomic biomarker discovery effort for neurodegenerative diseases to date. It’s built to support cross-disease comparisons, predictive modeling, and biomarker discovery at scale. New Blog Post: Biomarker Discovery at ALS TDI ALS TDI is committed to finding a cure for everyone living with ALS, and we need more reliable biomarkers to improve clinical care and make trials faster and more efficient. As part of this mission, ALS TDI is advancing biomarker discovery to enhance diagnosis, monitor disease progression, and streamline clinical trials. Through the ALS Research Collaborative (ARC) Study, we partner with people living with ALS worldwide to collect biological samples and digital data. This collaboration has led to five prototype digital biomarkers using voice and movement recordings—offering objective, quantifiable measures of ALS. Additionally, our partnership with LifeArc focuses on identifying and validating blood-based biomarkers to improve diagnostics and therapies. These efforts are driving more precise and effective approaches to ALS research and treatment. 👉 Read the full article to learn more about our work and how you can get involved: https://lnkd.in/eGPjHMUk

What an incredible weekend at the 2025 Tri-State Trek in Durham, NH! Over 300 riders took on up to 200 miles through the New England countryside—and many more joined us virtually from across the country—all to support ALS research at the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI). Even with some less-than-ideal weather, the energy, determination, and community spirit never wavered. We are beyond grateful to every rider, tag-along, crew member, and volunteer who made this Trek so unforgettable. Together, we’ve raised over $636,000 so far—and we’re pushing to hit our goal of $650,000 by the end of October. Every dollar fuels the fight to end ALS. Thank you to everyone who showed up, supported, and continues to fundraise. You are making a real impact. 💜 If you are looking to help support our riders or learn more, you can do so here: https://lnkd.in/eYpx_zEM
