Every person should have the freedom to live and love authentically. America Votes is proud to partner with organizations that work year-round to protect the rights of LGBTQ+ people. We stand with the Human Rights Campaign, Equality Federation, and LGBTQ+ Victory Fund in working to ensure that LGBTQ+ voices are represented in our democracy. We must elect leaders who are committed to preserving freedoms for all. At the state level, organizations like Equality Florida, Silver State Equality, Equality Michigan, and Georgia Equality are on the frontlines pushing back against regressive anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ legislation. During Pride month and beyond, we are committed to building toward a future with a more reflective democracy where every person can make their voices heard.

Asian American and Pacific Islanders have made extraordinary contributions to American history and the fight for progress. During #AAPIHeritageMonth and all year, we are proud to partner with organizations that are creating a stronger democracy for all. Our partners including Asian American Power Network, AAPI Victory Alliance, and AAPI Victory Fund empower AAPI voters with the information they need to cast their votes. At the state level, partners like AZ AANHPI For Equity, Asian Pacific Islander Political Alliance (API PA), One APIA Nevada , and Asian American Advocacy Fund are activating voters around the issues that matter most to our communities. Asian Americans must be represented in our government, and we are committed to ensuring that those voices are heard.

Last week's America Votes 2025 (and 16th Annual) State Summit was a vibe!! With over 2200 progressive activists, operatives, strategists, and attendees – the largest number of registrants ever – the sense of community and dedication was palpable. It's inspiring to see the trust placed in our summit as the go-to gathering, regardless of the outcomes, especially during these times of unity and togetherness. As the leader of the coalition, it was an immense honor to oversee my second AV State Summit. I'm deeply grateful for the hard work and dedication of my team, who labored tirelessly to ensure this year's summit resonated with the current climate. Setting the right tone post-November was crucial, navigating the challenges of our evolving reality, and instilling confidence in our community that victory is within reach – and together, we will achieve it! A poignant moment was dedicated to America Votes' founding president, Cecile Richards, whose innovative approach fostered collaboration among organizations sharing political objectives, culminating in the formation of a “table.” Amidst the camaraderie, we found solace in our unity, resilience in our shared purpose, and the unwavering commitment to persevere. Together, we stand ready to face the challenges ahead. Now, it's time to get to work!

The America Votes State Summit 2025 is in the books! Our country, our democracy, and our fellow human beings are worth fighting for.
