AmeriHealth Caritas

The AmeriHealth Caritas Foundation is once again making a positive impact. With $1.9 million in grants available to nonprofits across eight states and Washington, D.C., the Foundation continues to support organizations that help families overcome adversity and prevent and mitigate adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Since 2023, the Foundation has provided $3.5 million in grants to organizations driving change in children’s health and family well-being. Nonprofits addressing ACEs, family wellness, and health care access are encouraged to learn more.

AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware recently partnered with Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley to help make a dream come true for Hayyam B., a 16-year-old from Bear, Delaware. The team was joined by community leaders and Governor Matthew Meyer to celebrate Hayyam and her family before they set sail on a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas. Medication adherence is one of the biggest challenges in improving health outcomes, especially for people managing chronic conditions. AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina is making community investments in solutions that support families across the state. Our North Carolina Medicaid plan joined the AMY Wellness Foundation, Chief Cares, and community leaders to celebrate a $10 million community investment that will support long-term housing and health initiatives across North Carolina’s Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey counties. The investment is supporting a pair of projects: • Housing expenses for people displaced by Hurricane Helene last year, including country and city employees, as well as hospital and school district staff. These groups will live in three new neighborhoods currently under construction in western North Carolina. • The planned renovation of a downtown building in Burnsville. The site will become rent-controlled apartments managed by AMY Wellness Foundation, expanding access to safe, stable housing.
