We’re excited to announce two key leadership updates at Astrana Health, reinforcing our commitment to scaling our AI-enabled, value-based care platform and driving excellence across our rapidly growing national footprint! Sherry McBride has joined Astrana as Chief Operating Officer of Astrana Health – Management Services Organization. In this role, Sherry will lead operational integration and execution while working alongside Astrana’s Executive Leadership Team as we continue to accelerate the scale of our leading care delivery platform. Sherry brings over 18 years of experience in value-based healthcare operations. She most recently served as COO of Providence Health Network, where she led the growth of its Medicare Advantage global risk business. Prior to that, she spent nearly a decade as COO of Prospect Medical Systems, building a profitable, payer-agnostic, delegated provider group serving Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial members across multiple states. She also held leadership roles managing global risk Medicare Advantage businesses at CareMore Health. Her deep expertise will be critical to advancing our operational scale and care model integration. We’re also proud to share the promotion of Rita Pew to Chief People Officer. Rita has been a vital part of our leadership team, championing a people-first culture rooted in purpose, accountability, and growth. Last week, Astrana Health announced strong third quarter earnings, growing 37% year over year while continuing to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for over 1.1 million Americans. We are proud to continue expanding our impact rapidly while also continuing our long track record of sustainability, profitability, and stability. We also announced our definitive agreement to acquire Prospect Health, which consists of certain businesses and assets relating to Prospect Health System, including its California-licensed health plan, medical groups in California, Texas, Arizona, and Rhode Island, management services organization (Prospect Medical Systems), pharmacy, primary and multispecialty care group, and a fully accredited acute care hospital in Orange County, CA. Prospect has a network of around 3,000 primary care providers and 10,000 specialists who are delivering payer-agnostic, patient-centered care to approximately 610,000 members.   "The acquisition of Prospect would represent the combination of two organizations with decades-long histories of enabling independent providers and coordinating the delivery of high-quality care for all. We believe that our organizations share a common culture of patient centricity and a shared mission to provide high-quality care tailored to local communities," said Brandon K.
