How can roadway design better reflect the real-world experiences of everyone who uses it, from children walking to school to those with different mobility needs? Road Safety Audits (RSAs) bring engineers and community members together to identify hazards early and shape safer, more inclusive streets for all. In our latest Insights article, Kevin McKeel explores the RSA process, its safety and cost benefits, and how B&N is applying it in Kentucky to improve pedestrian access near a busy high school. Read how this collaborative, human-centered approach can make roads work better for everyone. #BNformed #RoadSafety #TransportationEngineering https://lnkd.in/gZcQHMHk

Trusted in 2012. Timeless connections that bring people and places together. Designed by B&N, the Rich Street Bridge replaced the deteriorating Town Street Bridge to form a better link between downtown Columbus and Franklinton. The Rich Street Bridge isn’t just a Columbus landmark; it’s a pathway that keeps us all connected.

When new access along a high-speed frontage road introduced risky weaving traffic patterns near the Escape Arrowhead apartments, our team helped calm traffic before another crash occurred. Using the FHWA’s proactive safety analysis tool, SSAM, we designed a solution that was implemented through an already scheduled repaving project that resulted in reduced vehicle conflicts and safer conditions for all users. https://lnkd.in/gtEfSXyH #TrafficSafety #PredictiveAnalysis #ProactiveEngineering

The water industry is undergoing a technological revolution, with AI, IoT and real-time monitoring playing pivotal roles in optimizing system performance and ensuring public health. B&N's Ryan Circello, Director of Utility & Civil Infrastructure, will be at the upcoming Arizona APWA Statewide Conference to share his presentation, "Smart Water Management: Leveraging AI, IoT and Real-Time Monitoring for Resilient Water Systems." This presentation will explore how smart water technology is enabling utilities to shift toward proactive, data-driven decision-making. With methodologies like AI-driven predictive maintenance, real-time water quality monitoring, smart sensors and more, utilities can successfully integrate various technologies to extend asset life, reduce energy consumption and improve water quality. At B&N, we provide actionable insights into implementing AI, IoT and real-time monitoring solutions to enhance resilience, optimize operations and meet evolving regulatory demands. Be sure to stop by booth 43 to learn more about smart water management. #BNformed
