We’re proud to celebrate our Director of Branch & Business Banking, Joseph Collum, recognized as one of the very first honorees in the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce inaugural 40 Over 40 Awards! This new recognition celebrates 40 outstanding leaders over the age of 40 who have made a lasting impact in Alexandria. It’s only fitting that Joe is among the very first to receive this designation, given his many years of dedication, leadership, and service to both our organization and the community. Joe has been a cornerstone of our team and a true pillar in Alexandria—leading with integrity, commitment, and heart. To watch him recognized in this way is both fitting and deeply meaningful for all of us who work alongside him. Joe embodies exactly what this award was created to celebrate. $30,000 raised. 170 players. One incredible day of community support. The Rouse Rally on August 9th, hosted by our Market President Jeff Rouse and his family, brought together 54 Pickleball doubles teams and 34 Tennis doubles teams at the University of Mary Washington Tennis Center in Fredericksburg, VA, all in support of Gwyneth's Gift Foundation and The Sunshine Ballpark Foundation. Several Burke & Herbert Bank team members joined in to compete and cheer on the players, including Greg Mellors and family, Paul Covill, and Jane Petty. We’re proud to have helped sponsored this event, grateful to Jeff for orchestrating such a powerful day, and honored to help raise funds for two organizations making a lasting difference in our communities.

Through the Burke & Herbert Bank Foundation, we continue investing in organizations that meet essential needs close to home. This week’s grants to West Hardy EMS and the Hardy County Child Care Center support emergency medical services and child care access in Moorefield and surrounding areas. We’re proud to back local partners delivering immediate, hands-on impact and we're thankful to both organizations for the work you do every day for local families!

Business Banking Office Hali Leeson and Regional President Michael Solomon proudly presented a gift from the Burke & Herbert Bank Foundation to Marlins for Mason, a nonprofit dedicated to funding research and raising awareness for Dravet Syndrome, a rare and severe form of epilepsy. Thanks to this work, transformational progress is being made in new treatment options—and Burke & Herbert Bank is honored to support these life-changing advances.

We're so proud to celebrate our own Sada Dahouk, as an Alexandria Chamber of Commerce 40 under 40 Honoree. Each year, the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce recognizes 40 exceptional individuals under the age of 40 who are making a meaningful impact in the community and we’re thrilled (but not surprised!) to see Sada on that list. Whether she’s collaborating with teammates, helping clients, or giving back to the community, Sada brings her full self to the work—kindness, smarts, creativity, and heart. Her leadership and dedication reflect exactly what this award celebrates.
