Updates

  • The Robinson senior leadership team is in Chicago this week, where President and CEO David Bozeman led a Global All Hands meeting that recognized the importance of our people, our technology, and the momentum we’re creating together as One Robinson. During the live event—with thousands of employees tuning in around the globe—leaders answered questions, recognized the game-changing work from several global teams, and shared how the company is disrupting from within to drive change and innovation. The event offered a moment of connection, collaboration, and an opportunity hear employee voices from around the word. Following the meeting, our commitment to community giving came to life through a Robinson Cares volunteer event with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Employees and senior leaders packed “Back to School” activity kits to help children and families when they need it most.

  • TARIFF UPDATE: Effective today, IEEPA illicit drug tariffs for Canada increased to 35%—with USMCA-compliant goods remaining exempt. Plus, new U.S. reciprocal tariff rates (excluding China) go into effect on August 7. Until then, the baseline reciprocal tariff will remain at 10% for all countries. To help navigate these updates, our U.S. Reciprocal Tariff Tracker provides a detailed overview of the new rates taking effect next week 🡪 http://ms.spr.ly/6040sKEyw

  • The U.S. administration announced several changes to tariffs. Here’s what you need to know: TARIFFS ON BRAZILIAN GOODS: Starting August 6, many goods imported from Brazil will face a 40% tariff under IEEPA authority. This is in addition to existing reciprocal tariffs, meaning both rates will apply, along with other applicable Section 232 tariffs. Certain exceptions apply. COPPER TARIFFS: From August 1, tariffs on copper and copper-containing products will increase to 50% for all countries. However, if a product is also subject to auto/auto parts tariffs, only the auto/auto parts tariff will apply. DE MINIMIS EXEMPTION CHANGES: The de minimis exemption (currently suspended for China and Hong Kong) will be suspended for all other countries on August 29. The only exception is international postal shipments, which will continue to be exempt. RECIPROCAL TARIFFS: New reciprocal tariff rates were announced, such as a 15% rate for South Korea. Note that all reciprocal tariff announcements made this month are not yet official. We’re tracking all reciprocal tariff deals here: http://ms.spr.ly/6048sJgVO For more details on exemptions and how tariff stacking works with these changes, see our client advisory: http://ms.spr.ly/6049sJgVP
