Annie will receive the “2025 Public Interest Law Leadership Award” for outstanding service to The Legal Aid Society and its clients at the organization’s 2025 Pro Bono Publico Awards ceremony on September 25. Cadwalader partners Thomas Grodecki, Suzie Bell, Robert Cannon, Bevis Metcalfe and Sabah Nawaz authored a recent Law360 article that analyzes the UK Supreme Court’s August 1 ruling in the motor finance commission test cases in which the court rejected the Court of Appeal’s finding that dealer brokers owed fiduciary or disinterested duties to customers. In the article, the authors discuss the consequences of the ruling, including the way that it narrows the scope for mass litigation over dealer broker commissions and limits incentives for claims management companies to pursue such cases.
