  • We're thrilled to welcome the Black Boaters Summit to Yards Park on Saturday, June 21, in partnership with Discover Boating and the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA)! As part of a national Juneteenth celebration, the Summit highlights the rising interest in boating among Black and Brown communities. After successful events in New York and Chicago, we’re proud that Washington, D.C. is now one of four host cities for this powerful and growing movement. We can’t wait to celebrate on the water!

  • 🎨Teamwork + creativity were on full display in Yards Park today! Our BID staff joined forces with members of our amazing Clean Team for a friendly planter painting competition. Every team brought their A-game, but only one walked away with 1st place bragging rights! 🏆 More than just a creative outlet, it was a great reminder of the power of collaboration and community pride. Huge thanks to everyone who participated and made the park a little brighter (and a lot more fun)! #CapitolRiverfront #CommunityPride #YardsPark #BIDLife

  • 🌳 Five years strong! DC has once again been crowned #1 in the nation for public parks! This incredible achievement is a testament to the hard work of Mayor Muriel Bowser, DC Department of Parks and Recreation, and the District Department of Transportation (DDOT). At the Capitol Riverfront, we're proud contributors to this vibrant park system, offering stunning spaces like Yards Park, situated right on the Anacostia River with incredible waterfront views and green spaces. Just a short walk away, Canal Park offers its own unique charm, known for its iconic water channels and interactive fountain plaza. We invite you to experience the beauty and vibrancy of these spaces firsthand and see why our city's parks are truly unmatched. #DCParks #CapitolRiverfront #PublicSpaces
