✨ Excited to share that I have wrapped up my 2-month summer internship at Carlisle Construction Materials! Though short, these two months were packed with intensive learning, meaningful work, and the chance to contribute to a market leader in roofing materials. I had the privilege to work within the Innovation Team (shoutout to the amazing crew!) where I focused on establishing a finite element modeling approach for the 3-layer wind uplift test of roofing membranes, using validated, layer-specific material properties. Huge thanks to my manager, Pramod Mallapragada, and Sunil Ramachandra for their support and guidance throughout the internship. Also, a big thanks to Jared Folks for facilitating a smooth onboarding process. And of course, special thanks to all CCM interns who made this summer truly memorable! 🌟

Last Friday marked the conclusion of my internship at Carlisle Construction Materials as a Sales Analyst Intern—and what an incredible experience it has been.   During my time there, I had the opportunity to build an interactive Power BI dashboard for portfolio analysis and lead prioritization. By leveraging Salesforce data, I identified $590 million in reroofing opportunities across 60+ accounts, dramatically improving the team's visibility into the sales pipeline.   I also conducted a comprehensive analysis using Dodge New Construction data, uncovering 300+ new potential roofing opportunities, representing approximately 5.5 billion square feet of prospective work.   A heartfelt thank you goes to Joseph Tubioli —your leadership, steady guidance, and unwavering support were truly instrumental in shaping these projects and in my personal development this summer. Your mentorship made all the difference.   Now, as I transition back into my academic journey, entering my senior year—I’m eager to apply what I’ve learned to finish strong and prepare for my next professional step. Thank you to everyone who made this summer unforgettable! #internship #CarlisleConstructionMaterials #Gratitude

This summer, I had the opportunity to work in the R&D department at Carlisle Construction Materials as the only Analytical Intern. I spent the summer working on method devlopment for a Jupiter 449 F3: Simultaneous Thermogravimetric Analyzer (STA). This instrument combines 4 testing methods, TGA, DSC, FTIR, and GCMS. The analytical lab currently uses these separately, but together they can do evolved gas analysis for a variety of materials. After lots of research, troubleshooting, long meetings and chemistry trainings, I was able to validate what we know about CCM’s polyisocyanurate insulation foam using the new STA/IR methods on the Jupiter. Last week I presented this research to the R&D department while also discussing the capabilities and future of this instrument. We also recently showcased our projects at the company wide Summer Intern Expo. I want to thank Travis Rosmus, my mentor Melissa Peiffer, and the entire analytical team for allowing me to work independently on this project, while giving me assistance when I needed it. I cannot wait to apply what I’ve learned this summer to my last year of undergrad.

As part of my summer internship at Carlisle Construction Materials , I had the amazing opportunity to showcase the projects I’ve been working on and share the impact of my work with the wider team. It was such a fulfilling experience to see everything come together and contribute meaningfully to the organization. One of the biggest highlights for me was getting to connect with so many inspiring individuals across the company. Every conversation was a learning opportunity and helped me grow both personally and professionally. A special shoutout to my manager,Brian Calaman who was truly the calm to the storm. His steady guidance, support, and belief in me made all the difference. I couldn’t have asked for a better mentor and leader to learn from during this journey. Feeling incredibly grateful for this experience and excited for what lies ahead.

It’s hard to believe it’s already been two months since I joined Carlisle Construction Materials. The journey has been nothing short of a steep but rewarding learning curve, grounded in my background as an architect and the product innovation frameworks I’ve explored at Carnegie Mellon University. These two pillars have acted as a strong foundation, enabling me to quickly adapt to the world of product innovation and development. Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to present my work to the R&D Innovation team and later share an expo-style presentation with the broader company. The experience was both exhilarating and humbling. It was a fantastic moment to showcase work from the last two months and gain feedback and insights from others in the company. Some key takeaways from my journey so far: 1. Industry Insight as a Differentiator: My hands-on experience designing and executing architectural projects in India helped me quickly cut through noise in customer feedback from key personas in the construction industry and focus on solving the right problems. 2. Strategic Product Thinking: In a large, established ecosystem, innovation must complement - not cannibalize - existing products. It’s critical to measure both additive revenue potential and the ability to capture market share as the impact potential of new product development. 3. Thinking Beyond Internal Development: Sometimes the best solution lies in partnerships, acquisitions or entering new markets - not just in-house R&D. This experience has sharpened my perspective on the full spectrum of innovation opportunities and reinforced the value of approaching product development with both creativity and commercial rigor. The journey is just the beginning!

As my summer internship with Carlisle Construction Materials wraps up, I’m grateful for the opportunity to dive deep into enterprise-scale data analytics and strategy. 📊 As a Sales Analyst Intern, I developed a Strategic Account Manager portfolio analysis and lead prioritization dashboard in Power BI, leveraging Salesforce data to uncover $590M in reroofing opportunities across 60+ accounts and enhance sales pipeline visibility. I also conducted REIT market analysis spanning 80 firms, 280 contractors, and 2,090 projects, creating frameworks to optimize resource allocation across a $520M opportunity landscape. This involved evaluating roof lifecycle data, warranty information, and market penetration trends to identify the highest-value prospects. Working within Carlisle’s culture of innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement (COS) showed me how data-driven insights can meaningfully guide strategic decisions and strengthen customer relationships at scale. 🌱 I’m thankful to my mentors Joseph Tubioli and Chad Buhrman for their guidance, and to Carlisle Construction Materials for an unforgettable summer—plus making me a certified roofing applicator along the way! 🏗️ #Internship2025 #DataAnalytics #BusinessIntelligence #CarlisleConstructionMaterials #PowerBI #Salesforce #BusinessStrategy #PurdueUniversity #ConstructionIndustry #Analytics
