Happy 4th of July! We want to take the time to thank everyone who serves the United States.

We want to share a fun tradition that Darren Glorioso and his team continued this year—their Annual S6 Bake-Off! Darren started this event a few years ago as a morale booster for the team.   The Bake-Off began as a lighthearted challenge, especially since most of the team were young single guys who had never baked before. It turned into a great opportunity for everyone to step into the kitchen, try something new, and share some laughs as they presented their creations.   To honor the winner each year, Darren created the “Golden Rolling Pin”—a dollar-store rolling pin that he spray-painted gold. Every Fourth of July week, they hold the competition, and Darren engrave the winner’s name onto it. The winning baker gets to display it proudly in their cubicle for the entire year until the next bake-off.   This year’s participants included: David Lorence, William Cummings, Jhune Ronquillo, Kevin Brim, Francisco Luna, and Darren himself. They were lucky to have four fantastic judges: Mike Strauss (DPW) Martin Vories (Security) Kevin Brim - C-edge ( holding his golden rolling pin ) Maria Jones (Operations) Nathan Strand (Police) And the 2025 Bake-Off winner was Kevin Brim, with a delicious classic tiramisu!
