We’re hiring an executive director! We're looking for someone with proven leadership skills to lead the Center into the next stage of our development. Someone who can take the extraordinary work our inaugural Executive Director, Kali-Ahset Amen, PhD, has done and steer the Center to new heights. We're seeking a candidate who can launch and scale new initiatives, build and maintain a collaborative working environment in a growing organization and serve as a thought leader, along with our founder, Nikole Hannah-Jones. Our mission has never been more important. Universities, safety net programs and media outlets are under attack. We provide training and resources to #HBCU students to prepare them to become investigative journalists and speak #TruthToPower. We support the values of press freedom, racial justice and public accountability. If this work speaks to you, please visit: https://lnkd.in/gB86RXA5

Be sure to join us during the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) conference in Cleveland! We're holding a digital security training workshop at 9 a.m., Friday, Aug. 8. in Room 9 of the Huntington Convention Center. Our founder, Nikole Hannah-Jones, will moderate and the Freedom of the Press Foundation will provide the training. We've seen the current administration's attempts to silence and intimidate the media. In this hands-on training, you'll learn ways to communicate more securely and how tools like the security key can help protect your online accounts. Get there early and you'll leave with new skills and a free security key, too!
