Meet Debbie, a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Specialist who has been an integral part of Century Contractors, LLC. since 1989. Debbie’s journey with Century began on the AFCO project — one of the company’s first general contracting efforts — where she stepped into the construction industry with no prior experience. With a vocational background in accounting and office operations, she quickly adapted, finding her stride in the field office environment and developing a deep appreciation for the unique rhythm of construction work. Throughout her career, Debbie has supported some of Century’s most valued clients, including Bosch, BASF, BMW, and DuPont. She played a vital role in establishing and maintaining the Bosch-Anderson, SC maintenance contract — a long-standing relationship that has shaped much of her professional growth. From managing complex payrolls and cost tracking to aligning accounting systems between Century and Bosch, Debbie ensures accuracy, efficiency, and accountability in every task. Her favorite part of the role? The satisfaction of keeping meticulous records and solving the puzzle of data management in a way that benefits both client and company. As she puts it: “The most important thing I do is get the payroll in correctly and on time — so we all get paid.” Debbie is proud of Century’s ability to deliver high-quality work at a fair cost, maintaining client trust and long-term relationships. And on a personal level, she’s especially grateful for Century’s support of work-life balance, which allowed her to thrive as a single parent. With more than three decades of experience — much of it spent at Bosch — Debbie’s commitment, adaptability, and expertise have made her a true pillar of the team. Meet Roe, a driven Project Engineer and rising talent at Century Contractors, LLC. Roe’s journey with Century began in the summer of 2023 as an intern, where he started by auditing and updating the company’s safety training programs into Procore. From there, he gained hands-on experience in the fab shop before transitioning into a full-time role upon graduating college. Since joining the team, Roe has worked under the guidance of Project Manager Craig Wolfe at the North Carolina Emergency Training Center, a highly complex and meaningful project supporting first responder training. Over the past year, Roe has immersed himself in fieldwork, learning the ins and outs of construction operations while building strong relationships with clients and team members alike. He's also contributed to major efforts at Merck, Google, and CMC Main, and has supported the estimating team with takeoffs for upcoming bids. With a background in Finance and Economics — and leadership skills honed from playing college football — Roe brings a sharp analytical perspective to the job. He applies this mindset to everything from forecasting and managing quotes to coordinating with contractors and engineers. As he puts it: “The most important part of my role is communication and leadership — being proactive, making informed decisions, and planning for what’s ahead.” Roe’s favorite part of the job is watching a project take shape in the field and knowing it’s being done right. That pride in quality work is one of the many reasons he’s thriving at Century. He credits much of his growth to the mentorship of team members like Craig, Mickey, and Johnny, who’ve helped shape his approach early in his career. Among all his experiences so far, the NC Emergency Training Center project stands out most. Being part of something that supports real-world disaster training is, in his words, “incredibly humbling and rewarding.” At Century, we pride ourselves on mentoring the next generation and taking on tough, meaningful work — and Roe exemplifies both. We’re proud to have him on the team.

Last week, the Century Contractors, LLC. team had the privilege of preparing and serving over 125 warm meals—complete with chicken, potato salad, green beans, and banana pudding—for residents, employees, and neighbors in need across Union County. Our visit to the local community shelter was more than a meal—it was a moment to connect, learn, and give back. We received a tour of the facility, deepened our understanding of their mission, and donated water, snacks, food, and essential items to help support their ongoing efforts. Century Contractors, LLC., we’re proud to support the next generation of talent through our internship program — and what better day to highlight them than National Intern Day? Meet Paige, one of our standout interns this summer! Paige is a sophomore at North Carolina State University, majoring in Design Studies with a Concentration in Business Administration. When asked why she chose Century, Paige shared: “I chose to join Century Contractors for the welcoming environment and to gain a community that wants me to learn and excel in whatever career path I pursue.” She’s spending her summer learning the day-to-day of our BIM Department, gaining valuable experience in a professional setting. “I came in nervous, since I’d never worked in an office before — but that disappeared the moment I walked in. Thomas and Michael welcomed me, gave me a full tour, introduced me to everyone, and even made sure I left with snacks and merch! Meet Wesley, one of our standout interns. When asked about his favorite moment at Century, Wesley shared: “My favorite moment was when we all went to sushi for Ashley’s birthday as a team. It showed me how close everyone is and how they treat each other like family. That’s also my favorite part about Century — everyone is so pleasant to work with.” Wesley has been an incredible part of our team, especially in supporting efforts at the Swiftwater Training Center in Albemarle, NC. We’re grateful for his hard work and excited to see where his journey takes him next!

On Monday we celebrated National Tape Measure Day. We raffled off custom 50th anniversary Century Contractors, LLC. tape measures at various job sites—and we have our winners! Thanks to everyone who participated and continues to help build our legacy. Here's to 50 years strong and measuring up for many more! 

Meet Greg, a skilled Project Manager and a valued team member at Century Contractors, LLC. Since his early days as a Clemson student working summer jobs on Century crews, he has grown into a key leader known for his problem-solving skills, adaptability, and wide-ranging project experience. Greg first joined Century in 2009, working summers on a plumbing crew at the NASCAR Hall of Fame project in Charlotte. The following year, he gained more field experience on a civil/structural crew at Bosch in Anderson, SC. After graduating from Clemson in 2011, he came on board full-time as a Project Engineer and quickly rose through the ranks to become a Project Manager by 2015. Over the years, he’s helped lead major projects for a wide array of clients including Johnson Controls, Enviva, PPG, New Belgium Brewing, Oceana Gold, Starbucks, Bosch, SK Battery, Novo Nordisk, and Quartz Corporation. His experience spans sectors from mining to pharmaceuticals—giving him an invaluable perspective and the ability to tackle diverse challenges with confidence. As he puts it: "Problem solving and people skills are the most important aspects of my role. I also really enjoy the autonomy I have—it gives me the freedom to make decisions and move projects forward efficiently." His unique background across different industries helps him approach each job with a well-rounded mindset. That variety has equipped him with the skills to manage complexity, adjust to different client needs, and find smart, effective solutions. Among his many standout experiences, the New Belgium Brewery Project in Asheville, NC remains a favorite. Not only was it located in a great place to live, but it was also a formative learning experience under the mentorship of Lane Canupp. At Century, we pride ourselves on taking on difficult and unique scopes of work that many contractors shy away from—and Greg embodies that same confidence and capability in everything he does. We’re proud to have him on the team and are grateful for his years of dedication and leadership. Keep up the great work!
