Take a look at the progress on one of the most significant projects currently underway in Hesperia. The nearly 2.5 million-square-foot Amazon Middle Mile Facility on Phelan Road near Caliente Road spans about 160 acres and is the first of its kind on the West Coast. It is also only the second of its kind currently under development in the United States. Construction is moving quickly, with tilt-up walls in place and wall and roof work expected to continue over the next several months. This new development is expected to create about 1,000 full-time jobs and has already generated around 1,000 construction-related positions. Anticipated to be completed in late 2026, this project reflects Hesperia’s growing role in supporting regional logistics and job creation across the Mojave River Valley.

We were thrilled to welcome the next generation to City Hall for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. The day included a police station tour, fire safety fun, human resource activities, and even a few furry guests. It’s always inspiring to see young minds curious about public service and the important work happening in Hesperia. We’re already looking forward to next year!
