This week the municipality celebrated the completion of the Green Hill Park Community Gardens! 🎉 The gardens have 124 raised planting beds including 8 beds for individuals requiring mobility devices. Interested in a planting bed? There will be a lottery in spring 2026 for Worcester residents to participate in.

The municipality has announced a relaunch and expansion of its Keep Worcester Clean (KWC) Program. It includes a revamped page on the municipal website, newly highlighted initiatives, and amplifying ongoing interdepartmental collaboration that makes KWC possible. On July 23, Out to Lunch celebrated Disability Pride Month and the Americans with Disabilities Act 35th Anniversary. The Executive Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Accessibility Advisory Commission partnered with the Downtown Worcester BID to host performers, agencies, municipal departments, and giveaways to make the event possible. @Empowering People for Inclusive Communities (EPIC) created a mural to commemorate the event, which has been displayed on the second floor of City Hall.

On Thursday, we raised the Purple Heart flag outside Worcester City Hall to honor veterans who were wounded or died in combat. Worcester became a Purple Heart City in 2014 and continues to recognize the service and sacrifice of those who have earned this honor.
