This summer, CO welcomed talented high school students into our Los Angeles office for our annual Architectural Discovery Program. With six young aspiring designers, this was the largest group yet! Across four weeks, the students got an inside look at the field of architecture and the design process. Their learning and exploration culminated in a final project — a pavilion design that they presented to their families and the entire office. To kick it off, we're spotlighting the School of Medicine Education Building II (EDII), the new home for the University of California, Riverside's medical school. Designed to empower students throughout their academic experience and beyond, the EDII offers a range of learning environments, student support areas, social spaces and offices for faculty and staff. Tiered classrooms and flexible learning studios support multiple modes of instruction, while the terrace and study spaces foster learning and collaboration beyond the classroom.
