We’re honored to share a connection to Olympic greatness, and few stories capture the spirit of a true champion like Tenley Albright’s. After overcoming polio as a child, Tenley became the first American woman to win Olympic gold in figure skating. But her impact didn’t stop there. She earned a medical degree, spent 30 years as a practicing surgeon, and later founded a collaborative at MIT focused on global health, reminding us that “today health research and communication can’t be done in the same manner as the past.” Today, Tenley continues to inspire as she helps lead efforts to honor the six members of The Skating Club of Boston who tragically lost their lives in a plane crash earlier this year, along with 28 other members of the skating community who also passed away in 2025. These were skaters, coaches, and supporters who dedicated their lives to the sport and to mentoring the next generation. We’re honored to support the creation of a memorial that will celebrate their lives, their passion for skating, and their lasting contributions to the sport they loved. At Cramer, this story resonates deeply. Our founder, Tom Martin, was an Olympic hockey player, and built Cramer with the same grit, teamwork, and passion that defines a champion.
