🎓 This summer, CyrusOne had the privilege of hosting two outstanding students in our IT internship program. As their time with us comes to an end, we want to celebrate the exceptional contributions of liam jones and Pari Gulati. Liam, a rising senior at the University of Arkansas studying cybersecurity and information systems, brought incredible technical expertise to Scott Garrett's team. His passion for AI and emerging technologies, plus impressive projects like building an encrypted password generation app for a hackathon, showcased exactly the innovative thinking we value. Pari, fresh from her Dean's List freshman year at the University of Michigan in Engineering, joined Lauren Stokes (Cline) team with infectious enthusiasm for the data center industry. Her unique combination of technical curiosity and collaborative problem-solving made her an invaluable team member. Both interns exemplify the next generation of tech leaders—combining technical skills with creativity and fresh perspectives. Opening Our Doors to Future Engineers in Germany! 🎓 We recently welcomed students from RWTH Aachen University's Institute for High Voltage Equipment and Grids, Digitalization and Energy Economics (IAEW at RWTH Aachen University) to our FRA1 data center in Germany, in partnership with local grid operator Syna GmbH. These engineering students got a first-hand look at the inner workings of a live data center and how it how it interfaces with the broader power grid. The visit brought classroom concepts to life - offering valuable insight into power distribution systems and the critical infrastructure that keeps the digital world running.
