On #WorldEnvironmentDay, we shine a light on our packaging profile. Did you know? The majority of our products come in steel cans, which are recycle-ready. Plastics are a small part of our packaging profile, and we have goals to reduce the amount of virgin plastic we source and the amount of single use plastics that end up in the landfill. Since 2009, we have been reducing our use of plastics and metal through the lightweighting of our packaging. We’re proud to share that all nine JOYBA® Bubble Tea varieties have officially received Upcycled Certified® status from Where Food Comes From, Inc. This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to reducing food waste through more sustainable practices. In the past year alone, we've reclaimed 265 tons of sweetened syrup through JOYBA®. In its third year, Del Monte Foods has the honor of recognizing our 2025 Del Monte Foods Education Scholarship recipients. This year our young leaders — selected from 20 applications — features future teachers, scientists, medical and business professionals and many more. On #StopFoodWasteDay, Del Monte Foods continues to ensure all food reaches its highest and best purpose with our Upcycled Certified™ Del Monte® Blue Lake® Petite Cut and Blue Lake® Farmhouse Cut Green Beans. In fiscal year 2024 we upcycled 3 million pounds of surplus ingredients — and we’re not stopping there. Here are some sustainability highlights from fiscal year 2024: • We’re on track with our goal to invest $5 million toward nourishing the wellness of youth and communities across the U.S. • We’re on track to meet our Science Based Target to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by fiscal year 2030. And we've already reduced emissions 15% from our 2021 baseline! • We exceeded our goal to donate 5 million pounds of food annually. In fiscal year 2024, we donated over 13 million pounds of food! We were proud to join Alliance for a Healthier Generation at Field Elementary School in San Diego to celebrate its recognition as one of America’s Healthiest Schools in the “food and nutrition” category. During the school’s Family Friday assembly, families gathered for a fun, hands-on cooking demonstration featuring healthy, budget-friendly recipes using Del Monte® canned fruit.
