Delaware Valley Community Health (DVCH) is proud to announce the opening of the Maria de los Santos at COMHAR satellite location, a new access point designed to enhance the continuum of care for patients with behavioral health needs in North Philadelphia. This partnership with COMHAR reflects DVCH’s ongoing commitment to address long-standing disparities in behavioral health access, particularly among Latino communities, by integrating primary care with more intensive behavioral health services. In Philadelphia, nearly 40% of Latino adults report symptoms of depression or anxiety, yet fewer than 1 in 5 receive the treatment they need, often due to language barriers, stigma, or a lack of culturally competent care.* Through this collaboration, DVCH is extending its patient-centered brief intervention model to include co-location with behavioral health specialists, creating a seamless bridge between primary care and long-term mental health support. This expansion aligns with DVCH’s history of leveraging partnerships to close critical service gaps and respond directly to community need. The Maria de los Santos at COMHAR satellite reflects a growing model of collaborative care, where behavioral health is integrated not as an add-on, but as a core component of comprehensive health. DVCH is deeply grateful to COMHAR for their decades of leadership in behavioral health and for making this shared vision possible. The opening was celebrated with a bilingual community open house, attended by local leaders, patients/consumers, and staff. This site represents the next chapter in DVCH’s mission to improve community health by bringing quality care closer to home. Pictured below are DVCH's CEO, Dr. Scott McNeal and COMHAR's CEO, Trapeta Mayson as well as senior leadership by both organizations.
