Aloha🌺 Two months into my role at the Fairmont Orchid, I am grateful for the valuable learning experiences I have encountered. The growth achieved during this time is attributed to the exceptional team I collaborate with daily. I have had the opportunity to: - Embrace diverse roles within the Food and Beverage sector, from serving in-room dining to hosting guests, emphasizing adaptability, attention to detail, and teamwork in creating memorable experiences. - Acquire practical knowledge and skills aligned with LQA standards, ensuring consistent delivery of premium service across all operational aspects. - Gain insights by shadowing various directors across different departments, providing a holistic view of the hotel industry's inner workings. This exposure enhanced my understanding of diverse leadership roles and their collaborative synergy within the organization. - Living and working on Hawaiʻi Island has taught me the importance of connection, presence, and mālama (care), not just in guest interactions, but with coworkers and the land itself. Each day at Fairmont Orchid has been a stepping stone towards personal and professional growth, enriched by the collective expertise and camaraderie of an exceptional team. I cannot wait to continue my journey with Fairmont!
