We’re kicking off new reactive repair works at Premier Inns across London, with our teams mobilised to deliver swift, clean, and quiet turnarounds for one of the UK’s biggest hospitality brands. Tuesday sees me attending up at Morro Homes, Coleshill, with handover to the client scheduled for Friday – a strong finish incoming. Midweek, I’ll be in Harwich on Wednesday and Thursday, continuing our momentum across live sites and supporting the teams on the ground. Midweek Reflections – Week 2 Falcon Contract Flooring Sales Ltd Second week underway and it’s been full throttle from the first minute. I’ve been on the road across the Midlands this week, meeting new colleagues, building relationships, and getting a real feel for the sheer range and scale of Falcon’s operations. In just a few days, I’ve been involved in: - Surveying and auditing educational facilities where safeguarding, finish quality, and programme alignment are crucial - Visiting banks and hospitals, each presenting their own unique compliance requirements and logistical demands - Supporting the pre-start process for upcoming commercial installs And now, back on site with Morro Homes at Trajan Hill, picking up where we left off last week, working closely with our operatives to ensure the final finish exceeds spec and that we remain tightly on programme. It’s been refreshing to try new things, see the business from so many angles, and feel welcomed by a team who clearly take real pride in what they do. I’ve worked in construction for years — but already I can see that Falcon do things differently: sharp logistics, real commitment to delivery, and solid communication throughout. Big thanks to everyone I’ve met so far. From day one I’ve been straight into it: warehouse audits, live site visits, reviewing logistics, and getting stuck into the nitty-gritty of how the operation runs. Exactly how I like it. There's no hiding behind systems here — if something needs fixing, we fix it. If something can be done better, we talk about it. The honesty, the pace, and the ambition really stood out. What’s made the biggest impression is the team — open, responsive, and clearly passionate about doing things well.
