We’re so proud of the contributions from our summer interns and excited to see what’s next for each of them!
Yesterday marked my last day as an Engineering Intern with Farnsworth Group, Inc. on the Civil Engineering Team in St. Louis, MO. Over the past 12 weeks, I’ve gained hands-on civil engineering experience in both design and fieldwork. I worked extensively in AutoCAD Civil 3D, preparing site layouts, grading plans, and performing drainage calculations. My favorite project that I worked on was a streambank stabilization. I completed a topographic survey of a disturbed creek section that was experiencing sloughing, designed and modeled a new channel, and then saw it go into construction. This project gave me valuable insight into every step of the engineering process, from initial survey to final implementation. I’m incredibly grateful to Jeffrey East and the entire Civil STL team at Farnsworth Group for their mentorship, guidance, and support throughout the summer. This was an amazing professional experience, and I learned so much!
