Get to know our team! Meet Alexa Cervella Mattox, Project Manager II. Learn more about Alexa and her experience at Flagship below.   "Hi, I’m Lexie! My hobbies include lattes, online shopping, watching HGTV, and making my husband build the things I saw when I was watching HGTV. I am super family-oriented and spend most of my time with my big, crazy Italian family.”   How do you give back?: My best friend is the PA State Director of Miss Amazing, a non-profit that provides self-esteem opportunities for girls and women with disabilities. Most recently, I donated and volunteered in support of their Amplify pageant held at WCU.   Thoughts on Flagship: I was hired right out of college in 2020, and Flagship has supported my growth every step of the way. Professionally, I’ve been given opportunities to learn, take on challenges, and advance into the PM role. Personally, I was able to reach some major milestones, including buying a house, getting married, and most recently earning my MBA. I am so grateful to work for a company that values both career and personal development!

This Disability Pride Month, we're spotlighting Frank E. Fithen, known as "The Armless Auto Speed King," and one of the earliest pioneers of adaptive mobility equipment.   After losing both arms in a railroad accident at the age of 9, Fithen continued to embrace life fully as a unicyclist, bicyclist, and car enthusiast. Unable to use conventional driving controls, he redesigned his steering wheel and drove across the nation, setting speed and distance records. His innovative design featured a series of steel rings that allowed him to steer with one limb while using the other for the throttle and gears.   In the 1910s, Fithen traveled across all 48 contiguous states, often on dirt roads without highways or GPS, reaching speeds of up to 58 mph. Fithen's determination made headlines across the country.
