The 2025 regular season was our fourth consecutive year setting a league attendance record. Nearly 1.9 million fans attended a Frontier League game this summer. Schaumburg Boomers, Les Capitales de Québec, and Ottawa Titans Baseball Club all set club records. Sussex County Miners set a record for average attendance, while Lake Erie Crushers increased by 18.5 percent. The Down East Bird Dawgs and Mississippi Mud Monsters both had strong debuts this season. The players who visited City of Kinston and Pearl raved about their experience. Tri-City ValleyCats did a tremendous job hosting us for the 2025 All-Star Game. Our digital team of Mike Guistolise, Sarah George, and Lara Palazzolo is amazing. Their Instagram posts in August generated over 1 million views. Congratulations to Anthony Calarco for breaking the single-season RBI record and to Mathieu Vallee on the stolen base record. Also congratulations to the 26 players who had their contracts acquired by Major League Baseball (MLB) organizations. 22 of these 26 only had professional experience in the Frontier League when signed, the largest number and percentage in our history. HomeTeam Network, Trackman, and Luminous Visuals were great partners when we shifted to their platforms. Playoff games start on Wednesday!

Exciting news yesterday as Alex Carrillo became the 60th former Frontier League player to receive the call to Major League Baseball. Alex spent time with New York Boulders and Washington Wild Things on his journey.
At this time last year, Alex Carrillo was in the Frontier League. Last night he made his MLB debut for the New York Mets. Thanks to Tom Vaeth and Washington Wild Things for their efforts.

Yesterday was tremendous throughout the Frontier League. We broke our single-day attendance record, which dated back to the 2014 season. Thanks to all of our fans for choosing to spend Independence Day with us. Over 8,000 fans for Schaumburg Boomers plus the largest crowds in club history for Sussex County Miners, Down East Bird Dawgs, and Mississippi Mud Monsters contributed to the mark. We also had great support from Brockton Rox, New York Boulders, Joliet Slammers Professional Baseball Club, Gateway Grizzlies, and Tri-City ValleyCats.

Today is the 25th anniversary of one of the most significant moments in Frontier League history. On June 20, 2000, former Chillicothe Paints Baseball Club Brian Tollberg became the first former FL player to appear in a Major League Baseball game. Brian started for San Diego Padres that night, allowing only one hit and one unearned run in earning the victory. 58 other players have followed Brian's path to the Major Leagues since. Like Brian, over half of these players made their professional debut in the Frontier League.
25 years since my childhood dream came true. But more than that, it has been the friendships and relationships forged along the way. The memories made and things experienced, not because of me. Simply because I could now call myself a Major League Baseball player. Baseball has given me so much over the years and I wouldn’t change a thing in how I got there. Thank you to everyone who came along for the ride, as it has truly been magical and more than I ever could’ve imagined.

One of the benefits of being a Major League Baseball (MLB) Professional Partner League is access to programs such as this initiative. Thanks to Tyrone Brooks and Dan Otero for their efforts to visit our clubs.
On behalf of Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Commissioners of the respective Partner Leagues, we are embarking on our second journey (the last time in 2023) visiting with each of the 48 Partner League teams to get in front of current players about potential post-playing careers within professional baseball. Thank you to the heads of the American Association, Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, Frontier League, Pioneer Baseball League, our Minor Leagues Operations & Development, Player Programs, and On-Field Operations departments for their continued unwavering support in helping players to make a successful post-playing transition. We started our journey last week in the Midwest visiting Clubs in the American Association and Frontier League. Thank you Josh Schaub (American Association) and Steve Tahsler (Frontier League for your assistance. Special thanks to my colleague Dan Otero for sharing his unique wisdom to the players in both English and Spanish. The journey continues….
