Reaching Out. Resolving Crisis.
About us
FrontLine Service, formerly Mental Health Services (MHS), is a first responder to individuals and families in our community who are struggling with homelessness, crises and trauma. Founded in 1988, our continuum of services now includes outreach, emergency shelter, transitional and permanent housing for those who are homeless; crisis services for those contemplating suicide; and support for families and children who have witnessed violence in their home and community. We are a provider of choice in Cuyahoga County for over 20,000 individuals and families each year.

At FrontLine, it's our calling to deliver compassionate, trauma-informed care to those in crisis. We're proud to be partnering with Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County on this important programming!
Since last fall, thousands of people have reached out to Cuyahoga County's 988 call center for support. Hundreds of those calls came from residents in the 44102 and 44105 neighborhoods as part of our Care Response Pilot Program. FrontLine Service's Care Responders have conducted numerous in-person assessments in these zip codes, helping individuals navigate moments of crisis with care, compassion and connection. The ADAMHS Board, in partnership with the Cleveland Department of Public Health and FrontLine Service, is leading the way in creating an integrated behavioral health system of care for county residents. With temperatures to rise in a few days, remember that certain medications can cause us to be more vulnerable to the heat. Check your medications' side effects or talk with your care provider. Make sure to drink extra water, take breaks from the heat, know the signs of heat exhaustion, and seek treatment if needed. If you're someone who provides care for folks, remind them if they're on one of these medications that the heat can be extra hard on them.
