When excellence is the standard, it starts with giving our people the tools and support they need from the very beginning. New employees finished another Garney-Go! session today at our Kansas City headquarters, where they learned about our company, connected with leadership, and built relationships with teammates from across the country. Garney-Go! is more than an introduction to what we do. It’s about understanding why we do it and how every employee helps carry our mission forward.

Another successful quarterly shutdown. Crews near our KC headquarters got hands-on in the Build Lab testing out the new simulator, training with Victaulic, and taking part in a bridge-building contest. Check out the winners and their bridge! They also stepped up for the community, packing 507 meals to be distributed by Harvesters—The Community Food Network.

Two of our crews recently completed technical rescue training at the EBMUD plant in Oakland, California. This training gives them the skills and confidence to step in fast, keep each other safe, and get the job done when it matters most. With OSHA Safe + Sound Week taking place nationwide, it’s an important reminder that investing in training is one of the most effective ways to keep workers safe.

The North Water Reclamation Facility is growing to meet Parker, Colorado’s future needs. Garney will be leading Phase 1B for Parker Water & Sanitation District to expand capacity by 2.8 million gallons a day, bringing the total to 6.6 MGD. This is the next step in a long-term plan to support one of the Denver area’s fastest-growing communities, building on our upgrades from Phase 1A to deliver reliable treatment for decades to come.

August 11 is National 811 Day and a reminder to dig safely and protect what’s underground. At Garney, we use advanced tools like RODRADAR to detect utilities before we ever break ground. Fewer strikes mean safer sites and smoother work.
