(Generations) is a private, not-for-profit, regional Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that has been serving eastern Connecticut since 1984.   • As part of our National Community Health Center Week 2025 collections, Generations donated personal hygiene items and flip flops to St. Vincent de Paul Place in Norwich.   • Last week, Erin Chandler, Practice Manager at our Danielson site, and Tamara Grundwalski, Practice Manager for our Putnam Medical & Dental Departments, delivered flip flop donations to Access Community Action Agency’s Emergency Shelter in Danielson. Anna and Jacques from Access Agency gratefully received the donations. These flip flops, collected during National Community Health Center Week 2025, will support shelter residents by giving them a safe and dignified way to take showers. We are so grateful to our incredible staff, board, patients, and community members who helped make this drive a success.   • A big thank you to Brooklyn Public Schools for inviting Generations to table at the Kinder Camp today for incoming Kindergartners and their families! We loved meeting so many families, sharing what Generations does, and talking about the exciting news...our Mobile Health Unit will be providing dental services at all Brooklyn Schools again this school year! We are just as excited as the families are to bring this important care directly to the schools. Community Health Centers are on the front lines of preventing and managing chronic disease. In 2023 alone: 􈄥􍿁 3M patients received diabetes care 70% reached A1c control 5.7M were treated for high blood pressure 65% achieved blood pressure control 􈄥 9M received obesity care 72% of youth got screened and counseled on nutrition & activity That’s prevention in action. That’s the value of Community Health Centers.
