    Marketing and Psychology Student at Purdue University

    As I wrap up my summer, I wanted to give an update on my job this summer and an achievement from work I put in over the school year. This summer, I was grateful for the opportunity to work at Go Ape USA as a brand representative!  In this position, I dove into a marketing and sales role. One of my big tasks was to research and attend marketing events in the area. I researched and attended 14 in-person marketing and networking events throughout 9 weeks at Go Ape USA. These events taught me the power of word-of-mouth marketing when working in the local community. At these events, I was able to get over 150 people who expressed interest in Go Ape to join our contact list. At networking events, I worked to spread the word about Primal Dynamix, Go Ape's leadership development program. Through attending various networking events, I learned the importance of consistency in networking to gain trust and client referrals.  A huge thanks to the Rock Creek Marketing team, Alyssa Hartley, Johnny Felty, Joe Forsythe, Ed Montgomery, MBA for supporting me in this position. The hard skills and soft skills you taught me were invaluable, and I am excited to apply them in my future career journey. I am excited to see Ed Montgomery, MBA, and Alyssa Hartley again in December, speaking at the Purdue Marketing Association. Also, huge shoutout to the site team, Tess Hawkins-Wilding and Wesley Kronenberg, and Dover Petersen for attending marketing events with me. You guys helped me understand Go Ape’s offerings better, which made me a stronger brand representative. Additionally, I am excited to announce that our Alpha Epsilon Pi Purdue chapter won Chapter of the Year! I am thankful that I was able to contribute to this as our rush chair during the academic year. We recruited 36 new members through the spring and fall, the most in our chapter's history! A huge thank you to Russell Widder, my Co-Rush Chair, and Eli Lyandres, my president, for all the work we put in to lead to this incredible achievement!
