This week is #NationalHealthCenterWeek! Here in #EastCounty, we support the work of our local health centers like San Ysidro Health.🏥❤️ With recent cuts to Medicare and Medicaid, these community health centers' ability to provide access to care and keep their services low-cost has never been more critical. Thank you to the staff and leadership for continuing to serve the community in light of these challenges. #EastCountyHealth #CommunityHealth #AccessToCare
Every August, National Health Center Week shines a spotlight on America’s health centers, celebrating their past, present, and future as they serve communities across the country.🏥 This year’s theme, “America’s Health Centers: Celebrating Past, Present, and Future,” honors 60 years of community health centers transforming lives and improving health for millions. San Ysidro Health’s story began in 1969, when seven determined mothers opened a small clinic in San Ysidro. Today, we’re proud to serve more than 160,000 patients across San Diego County through a network of over 50 clinics and program sites. Rooted in compassion and driven by community, we look forward to continuing this legacy, building healthier futures for all.💙 #NCHCW #CommunityHealthCenterWeek #CommunityHealth #HealthEquity #CHCWeek2025 #SanYsidroHealth

Grossmont Healthcare District reposted this
We were honored to partner with State Senator Brian Jones to host a Senior Seminar focused on supporting older adults and their caregivers. Our team shared information about the Caregiver Connections program, which provides education and peer support to help caregivers feel more confident and connected in their roles. This program is made possible through a grant from the Grossmont Healthcare District, and we were grateful to have Board Member Virginia Hall join us in support. We also introduced the Community CallHub, an initiative designed to reduce social isolation through meaningful, regular connection. With more than 100 attendees, the seminar featured presentations on scam prevention and resources from the California Department of Insurance, Contractors State License Board, California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation, and the County of San Diego, equipping older adults with the knowledge to stay safe and informed.
