2025 has been an up and down year for Hamrick Packaging Systems, but there's been one constant on our backlog - drop packers. The Model 600D-S was introduced in 2020 and now we have over 200 of them active in the field. Serial number one was designed to run undersized boxes in three-case-per-cycle operation at 60 cases per minute. That customer has purchased two more since. These machines, while standardized, come with endless configuration options for all types of product shapes and sizes. With max rates on single case per cycle formats at 30+, tandem at 50+ and three cases per cycle at 60+, we expect strong sales to continue on our flagship product. Hamrick isn't just drop packing anymore, but in years when orders are harder to come by, we've separated ourselves from the pack with this machine.

The ModPal is a compact palletizing option using a #FANUC arm that virtually cuts our previous lead times in half. We can select a range of 1 in/1 out, 1 in/2 out, and 2 in/2out using their pre-configured options, then provide the programming and finishing touches on our floor. Happy Friday! We haven’t gotten approval to disclose the full video yet, but I wanted to highlight our partners at ATI Industrial Automation. This snippet shows how we integrated their automatic tool changers on a #FANUC R-1000iA/80H arm, which allow the robot to swap between adjustable 6-pack and 12-pack tooling without the need for operator involvement. We use a KEYENCE CORPORATION LJ-X8000 laser scanner to provide internal case dimensions and distances between caps and send that information back to the PLC in real time. The robot then picks up the appropriate tool and adjusts to fit the pattern of the scanned case - all fully automated. This was the first machine we’ve designed that wasn’t recipe based - but an “on demand” set up due to the number of sizes that could be run. You’ll see the finished video if/when I can release it, but kudos to our team for thinking outside the box on this application! #hamrick #robotics #uncasing

When packaging harsh chemicals, longevity is the name of the game. Many years of experience and collaboration with our customers have led to our newest 600D-S build for this type of environment. The video shows 1 gallon industrial rounds of muriatic acid being packed in 4-count cases at nominal speeds of 80 gallons/minute. We utilize a stainless frame w/ additional powder coating, which has held up well in our past experience. If you pack bleach, acid, ammonia, pool chemicals, or anything that rusts steel in a manner of minutes, we can help! Happy Friday! Factory acceptance today for our Model 600-S Tandem Servo Drop Packer running 59oz gable-top cartons into 6-pack HSC display cases at 35+ cases per minute. This machine comes with a split-grip packing head that creates a gap between the front and back groupings before packing. It also features all stainless steel construction and our extended length option which allows up to 30” in overall length for two case per cycle operation. This is one of (3) machines that will be shipping to NJ this month to replace older units. Happy Thursday (since we’re off tomorrow)! Well, not so much for me as I’ve been out all week with the stomach flu, but for our team we had a successful (4) machine FAT this including a drop packer, two sealers, and a palletizer. The last portion of that order was a new type of uncaser utilizing (2) #FANUC M-710iC arms to remove empty f-style gallon bottles from 2-pack, 3-pack, 4-pack and 6-pack bliss/RSC reshipper cases.
