We're thrilled to celebrate Natalie Schroeder, daughter of our dedicated VP of IT Peter Schroeder, who has been awarded a scholarship for the upcoming academic year! As school bells prepare to ring, school buses will soon be back on our roads. For all of us sharing those roads, the sight of a school bus should instantly trigger one thought: the absolute safety of every child. At HSM Solutions, our brand, HSM Transportation, is deeply committed to student well-being. While bus drivers are heroes, keeping our kids safe is a shared responsibility for every driver on the road. Please remember these vital rules whenever you encounter a school bus: When You See a School Bus: Drive Smart, Drive Safe! •Flashing Yellow Lights Mean Slow Down: The bus is preparing to stop. Slow down and be ready to stop. Do not pass. •Flashing Red Lights and Stop Arm Mean STOP: Children are getting on or off. You MUST stop. Stop at least 20 feet back to give them space. Know When to Stop: •Two-lane road or undivided highway: Traffic in both directions must stop. •Multi-lane highway with a median/barrier: Only traffic in the same direction as the bus must stop. •Stay Alert & Patient: Be mindful in school zones. A few extra moments of patience can prevent a lifetime of regret. Stopping for a school bus is not just a law; it's an act of care for our children. Every child's journey is important.
