The Global Communication Certification Council (GCCC®) has announced it will become a fully independent, non-profit organization as of 1 January, 2026 — a major step toward creating a universal, portable certification standard for communicators worldwide. This move positions the GCCC to expand adoption of its ISO-accredited CMP® and SCMP® certifications beyond IABC, offering a unified, credible path to professional excellence across the industry. GCCC will operate under its own board while maintaining a collaborative relationship with IABC to ensure a smooth transition and long-term success.
